If you receive a coffee gift from a friend or family member, we will be provided with your name and delivery address by the person making the gift. For gifted coffee subscriptions we will be provided with your email address as the recipient of the subscription gift.

We may collect information about you from other sources and about how you interact with both our website and our marketing communications in order to analyse and improve our website, services, and overall customer experience. With your permission, we may use this information to serve you personalised online advertisements on other websites about products which we think will be of interest to you. We may also receive information about you from social media platforms, such as when you interact with us on those platforms or access our social media content.

2.4. Information collected via CCTV at our premises

When you visit our premises, we operate a limited number of CCTV cameras for the purposes of site security, safety, and the prevention and detection of crime. CCTV may capture images of visitors to our premises, including customers visiting our café or car parks. CCTV footage is routinely only stored for a limited time; we will only retain footage for longer than this is if it relates to an ongoing investigation.

3.1 How we use your information

  • To fulfil your gifted coffee purchase or subscription (where you receive coffee as a gift).

We rely on the following legal grounds under the UK GDPR for processing your personal information:

  • Performance of the contract - to fulfil and manage your orders, subscriptions and deliveries. 
  • Legitimate interests - we rely on the fact that we have legitimate business interests in carrying out certain data processing activities that help us to operate effectively and improve our products and services. provided that we consider in each case that this legitimate interest of ours is not outweighed by your privacy and other rights. We may share your personal information with the following types of organisation in connection with the purposes described in 3.1 above: 

  • Trusted third-party service providers. We work with carefully selected service providers that carry out certain functions on our behalf. These service providers can only use your information in accordance with our instructions (to provide their services) and they are contractually required to keep our customer data secure. For example, we use a service provider called Shopify and their consumer platform 'Shop' to manage our online orders, payment processing and customer account database. Shopify also provides us with data analytics and services.
  • Professional advisers, including lawyers and accountants. 
  • Online platforms such as social media (such as Facebook) or ad tech companies (such as Google) that we partner with to serve you tailored online advertising and for analytic purposes. These partners have their own privacy policies and consent mechanisms for their customers which you should read carefully, in addition to Rave's controls.
  • Government and law enforcement authorities if we are required to share your information by law (or we may also share your information when it has been requested by the authority and where we are permitted to disclose it under applicable laws).
  • Service providers and future owners of our business when we restructure, sell, or transfer our business (or a part of it), for example in connection with a takeover or merger. 

We never sell your personal information.

Some of our third-party service providers (described in section 4 above) may operate outside the UK.
